I’m excited to be joining the Oiselle Volee running team!

img_5128I have been a fan of Oiselle’s running clothes for quite some time and for the last three marathons I’ve run, I have sported the Long Flyte Short and a Oiselle hat. Oiselle’s clothes is the reason I became interested in the company but not the reason I decided to join the team. As I learned more about the company’s founding, Kara Goucher’s partnership with Oiselle, and their support of women in running, I knew I wanted to join the Volee team one day.

This timing could not be better actually. Certainly not because I am 7 months pregnant and my days of running consistently may be limited for the next couple of months, but because after over 4 years of being dedicated to distance running, I know it’s my passion. Also, with the upcoming arrival of our baby girl, I would love to share my love of running with her. I wanted to join a running community that is dedicated to supporting women and Oiselle could not be a better choice.

Since posting on social media that I am excited to be a part of the team, I have been welcomed by so many members of the team virtually. I am looking forward to joining such a supportive, passionate, and strong community of women.

Many who know my running story know that I started “for real” distance running when my grandmother passed away due to Alzheimer’s and I have been fortunate to be a part of the Athletes to End Alzheimer’s NYC Marathon teams for the last 4 years. Being a part of Oiselle Volee does not mean I will not support Athletes to End Alzheimer’s or join their team again, joining the Volee team is just another community that I am excited to be a part of.

Sunday Snaps #7 – Snowy Weekend

Greetings from the snowy Northeast! In Stamford, we didn’t nearly get as much snow as NYC or by my parents in Central New Jersey but it is still very white outside.

This is from earlier in the week at the New Haven lawn right by my office. I’m sure there will be more than a dusting tomorrow!

We went outside at probably the worst time on Saturday. It was around 4PM and the wind was so strong that we could barely get the door open to go outside. The snow drifts were so high that it went up to my thigh!

I really liked this snowman. I wish I made it, but it definitely wouldn’t have looked as nice!

After our 5 minute adventure in the cold and snow, we decided we deserved a cup of hot chocolate.

And to cap off this snowy weekend, I took my new Brooks Launch 3 for a spin on the treadmill.

In other news, I ordered the Apple Watch today. I’m looking forward to testing it out and sharing my full review soon. Hope you had a safe, warm, and run-filled weekend!
